A design made during the planning application for a series of residential and commercial buildings opposite Harrods on Brompton Road. The design proposal was put to the chairman of Westminster City Council to construct a building and townscape in the memory of Princess Diana.
The female form, inspired by the shape of her 'Opera dress' for the tower included a Princess Diana piazza facing across Brompton Road with a statue of the Princess and formed the principle entrance to the project for pedestrians arriving from Harrods along Brompton Road. The tower, if built, would have contained apartments at high level and offices below with retail shops and a gym, something Princess Diana enjoyed, and wellness centre in the lower floors.
