Virgin Galactic Astronaut Residences

location: Nevada, United States

The project was designed to reflect the aesthetics of space flight and of the white fuselage and round windows in the Voyager Space Craft designed by Burt Rutan for Virgin Galactic.

Several student groups were involved in the project which was developed at The Institute for Architecture and Product Design at TU Munich supervised by Richard Horden with assistant architects Nadine Zinser and Wieland Schmidt.

The project was located on the other side of the runway to be private from the public viewing areas of the Norman Foster Spaceport.
