Aerospace Group Tables

year: 1989

design: Richard Horden Associates

This group of furniture was developed with engineers from British Aerospace’s Concorde and Rolls Royce factories – hence the name. The table form a range from 1 metre square, or round, to larger study, dining and conference room sizes. They are detailed in a way that ensures they are capable of being flat-packed for a move or air-freighting, while the aluminium or carbon-fibre construction makes them durable for outside use. The aluminium frame is thirty percent lighter than its equivalent in steel, and can be lifted with one hand, making moving the table much easier and safer in a domestic situation.
