This proposal is for a mixed-use development that will optimise the use of the site and work well with the immediate and emerging Bruton Lane context and the wider Mayfair area.
Ground floor and basement levels will provide a new stand-alone high quality restaurant.The first floor will be for office use. This will provide additional accommodation that links to the existing floor space in Berkeley Square house. The second, third and fourth floors will each provide two bedroom apartments.The fifth and sixth floors will provide a three bedroom maisonette with a private roof terrace above.
The restaurant at ground level will be the principal focus of the development. It will activate the street in a lively and a high quality way. The office floor will provide useful additional accommodation to Berkeley Square House and will be a good buffer between the restaurant below and residential above. The upper residential levels will contribute to the local residential community. The apartments will overlook Bruton Lane and will bring a degree of natural surveillance to the location.
