The New Parliamentary Building

location: London, SW1

An early project in 1970 when Richard Horden worked with Robin Spence and Robin Webster on the design. The design won first prize in the International Competition and had the benefit of a generous public atrium at ground level connecting Whitehall to The Embankment.

An oxygen giving 'green roof garden' is set within the inclined glass and bronze clad roof structure which combined with the glass and bronze facades reflected images of Big Ben when viewed from Parliament Square.
