the development of a display system, together with the redesign of the entrance hall, a caad pool and exhibition space, is one of a series of projects undertaken by the department to improve the appearance of the tu- munich.

in addition to the need to meet functional requirements and to guarantee stability and reliability, the furniture system was to reflect the precision and aesthetics of modern engineering sciences. the design is based on a framework of anodized aluminium tubes, jointed with double-wedge connectors, and used in conjunction with aluminium composite panels. the furniture can be quickly assembled or dismantled by hand with a few basic tools, and can be stored in a space-saving form. the series comprises all units required for use in a modern university.
