Overview

The design of our wine cooler is a direct reflection of the architectural principles embodied in Newfoundland at Canary Wharf. Structurally, the cooler takes inspiration from Newfoundland’s diagrid framework, where the diamond-patterned external structure optimizes both form and function.

This approach ensures both structural integrity and performance, reinforcing the cooler’s durability while achieving a striking architectural identity. The base mirrors the top plate, creating a sense of symmetry and equilibrium, akin to the carefully engineered proportions of its architectural counterpart. Functionality is further enhanced through a removable inner bucket, allowing for easy maintenance, while the capacity to hold three bottles of wine or champagne ensures practicality without compromising the purity of the design.

By merging architectural innovation with product design, the wine cooler embodies a harmonious blend of aesthetics, structure, and performance—a sculptural yet highly functional object informed by the principles of contemporary architecture.
